  3. Think about brands that you like. Look at adverts and websites to get a feel for the kinds of brands that appeal to you. Check what different brands offer and see how this matches up to your requirements.
  4. Shop around. Visit different showrooms and talk to different dealers. Many of them will have different offers running, so you might find yourself a better deal.
  5. Go for test drives. This is the only way to get a real feel for a car. it might well be love at first sight, but until you’ve driven it, you won’t really know.

Car Shopping – Some Key Considerations

Posted on March 10, 2016 at 5:06 pm

A car is going to be one of the most expensive purchases that you ever make. You want to know that you’re getting value for money, so it’s important to shop smart when buying yourself a car. Consider the following questions before you make any decisions:

Do you want to buy a new or used car? It may be worth looking at both if you’re unsure. New cars will lose a lot of value, but there are plenty of good finance options now available so it might be worthwhile. It’ll save you having to worry about maintenance. That being said, many used cars can be bought for an excellent price and shouldn’t be overlooked.

What condition is the car in? Make sure that you can’t see any scratches or damage to the paintwork. If you’re buying a used car it may be worth asking a mechanic to check it over first.

Is the place you’re buying it from reliable? Buying a car privately might be a bit risky as individuals aren’t constrained by as many regulations as a garage.

Will the car be the right size for you? It might seem like a good idea to buy a little sports car now, but will you still feel the same in 3 years’ time? A car is a big investment and you need to consider longevity.

What will running costs be like? Check whether it is petrol or diesel and how many miles you should expect to get out of a tank.

Shopping for Car Accessories

Posted on February 18, 2016 at 12:24 pm

People often want to customise their car, both inside and out. There are a number of accessories which are available to help you to do this. From practical items like drinks holders and mats to pretty decorations, there’s plenty of choice for anyone, whatever their personal tastes might be.

It may be best to source car accessories from the car manufacturers themselves. If you buy accessories such as drinks holders, ashtrays or seat covers, they will need to fit with your car exactly and you don’t want to risk them not working. Most importantly, you don’t want to have anything that doesn’t work or fit properly around you whilst you’re driving. It could be distracting or cause problems, making it detrimental to road safety.

There are plenty of accessories around, and you will have lots of fun shopping for them. Choose items which will match your personal style to give your car a distinctive feel. You’ll feel like it’s an extension of your outfit and your personality, and you’ll be able to enjoy driving it even more.

Buying a Supercar Driving Experience

Posted on October 22, 2015 at 10:51 am

Many people dream of driving a Ferrari, Lamborghini, Porsche or Aston Martin. Now it’s possible – through a supercar driving experience day. You can try out the cars you’ve always wanted to drive and have an amazing time doing it without having to worry about the cost.

There are lots of different options available wherever you’re located. Often famous racetracks will offer experiences like these, although it’s likely to cost a lot more. Think about what you want to get for your money and start doing some research. Prices will depend on the kinds of cars that you want to drive, the place where you’re driving them and the length of time you want to spend there. You can buy experiences from a number of different locations. Speak directly to the venue, look online or check in high street shops as sometimes they have gift vouchers available for various days out, especially in the time leading up to Christmas.

A day spent driving some of the most exciting and powerful cars around can make an excellent gift for somebody. Why not think about purchasing an experience day as a Christmas present? If the person you want to buy for is younger, you can also buy experiences where they will be driven rather than doing the driving themselves.

A 987bhp Bentley Convertable…

Posted on September 15, 2015 at 7:33 pm

A Bentley Convertable modified to feel like a Bugatti Veyron in terms of power, how can you not love this car?

‘Elegant’ is the term used by Mansory to describe this modified Bentley Conti GTC, though we suspect you might have your adjective in mind. Whatever that adjective might be, it is inadequate, because this Bentley sports 987bhp and therefore cares not for adjectives.

That’s right, this Bentley Convertible has Bugatti Veyron levels of power. For this year’s Frankfurt Motor Show, Mansory wasn’t satisfied with boosting up a Huracán to 1250bhp, and so worked up a little treat for the W12-engined GTC on the side. (Top Gear)

So what about the power? Well it can get to 987bhp with 6000rpm, whilst the torque rises to 885lb with only 2000rpm. It can do 0-62mph in 3.9 seconds which is unbelievable!

There’s a massive anticipation for the 2018 Nissan GT-R, so we thought it’s only right that we build the anticipation even more and post an article with the three main things we already know about the car.

  1. The vehicle will use the same engine used in Nissan’s Le Mans racer car from 2015.
  2. In addition to the twin-turbo V6 engine, the new GT-R will also come with some electric propulsion and a battery pack.
  3. The car will still weight a lot. Although usually most supercars lose weight as time goes on, the GT-R will still be at a similar weight of its current models (approximately 1700kg).

Lotus Release Anniversary Edition Vehicle

Posted on March 20, 2015 at 2:43 pm

In celebration of their twentieth birthday, British car makers Lotus have announced that they will be releasing a special edition vehicle to mark the occasion.

Priced at just under £40,000, the Lotus Elise 20th Anniversary Edition may seem expensive but it’s only £8,000 more than the original Elise. For the extra £8000 you’ll be getting a 1.8-litre supercharged engine, which is packed with 217bhp.

In terms of speed, the car can do 0-62mph in 4.6 seconds, so it’s very zippy. Described as a special edition model, the anniversary model is replacing the Club Racer. Lotus haven’t released information on how many vehicles are being made, but we expect it to be limited numbers. We do have it confirmed that the car will be available in 4 ‘classic Elise’ colours: blue, green, silver and our personal favourite – yellow.

Range Rover Evoque 2016

Posted on February 23, 2015 at 4:46 pm

No one ever thought that Land Rover’s Range Rover Evoque would end up being as popular as it has been since its launch in 2011, but it has surprised the majority with over 400,000 cars sold worldwide since.

With it being 4 years since release, it’s time for another upgrade to the model with this one planned for release in the Summer. The new model sees an upgrade in looks, with a new front bumper and grille, spoiler and LED adaptive headlights. We must add that they look very good.

Apart from aesthetics, the car will also see an improvement in economy and emissions with the choice of two 2.0-litre Ingenium turbodiesel engines which come with either 148bhp or 177bhp. If that’s not powerful enough for you, you still have the option to purchase the S14 turbo petrol engine, which can reach 0-62mph in 7.6 seconds with 237bhp.

Land Rover have not announced any indication on pricing as of yet, but expect the price to be a little higher than current new Evoque models.
